BOARD AND MANAGEMENT
Mr Dabala has had a successful professional and technical career spanning 25 years. During this time he has held positions as Managing Director and Director in both an executive and non executive capacity in the resources, project management and engineering sectors, primarily in oil and gas, energy and power generation.
In a technical capacity Mr Dabala has been involved on large resource sector projects ($100M+), initially as an Instrumentation Engineer and finally as Principal Engineer Control Systems.
Following his initial mainly technical positions, Mr Dabala has worked largely in management, both in a project and organisational capacity. He has planned and managed commercial and organisational performance, and taken resources projects from developing a concept through to a satisfied customer.
Mr Dabala along with 2 other partners formed PCT Engineers Pty Ltd (PCT) which over a period of 20 years became a leading professional engineering company in Australasia. PCT was sold to GHD Pty Ltd in 2007. In 2005, and following PCT, he co-founded Emerson Stewart Ltd, a project management company that successfully floated on the ASX in 2008.
Mr Dabala is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
He is currently also a Non Executive Director of Ch4llenge Ltd, a private subsea methane hydrates developer and Moxi Pty Ltd, a private competency and training company.
Mr Gerrit de Nys (Non Executive Director)
Mr de Nys has 40 years experience in civil engineering, construction, oilfield contracting and natural resources investment management.
For the Asian-based IMC Group he was the Managing Director of Unithai Shipyard and Engineering Ltd. in Thailand before a 2 year stint in Singapore as Managing Director of IMC Pan Asia Alliance Pte. Ltd., which is the management company of the IMC Group,
At the beginning of 2004, he took on the position of Group Managing Director – Direct Investments with IMC to manage existing assets, including a substantial property portfolio and to search for long term, stable, low-risk investments primarily in natural resources. He is now Non-Executive Chairman of the IMC Resources Group which has significant holdings in Atlas Iron Ltd, Ashton Coal Mines Ltd, Horizon Oil Limited and Kairiki Energy Ltd.
Mr de Nys has a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering (1968), is a Chartered Professional Engineer (retired) a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
He is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Hong Kong-listed Shui On Construction and Materials Ltd, a Non-Executive Director of Horizon Oil Limited, a Director of Ashton Coal Mines Ltd and the Non-Executive Chairman of Red Sky Energy Ltd.
Mr Dennis Wilkins (Company Secretary)
Mr Wilkins is an accountant who has been a director, company secretary and acted in a corporate advisory capacity to listed resource companies for over 23 years. Mr Wilkins previously served as the Finance Director and Company Secretary for a mid-tier gold producer and spent five years working for a leading merchant bank in the United Kingdom. Mr Wilkins has extensive experience in capital raising, specifically for the resources industry and is the principal of DW Corporate Pty Ltd which provides advisory, funding and administrative management services to the resource sector. Mr Wilkins is a Director of Key Petroleum Limited and Minemakers Limited.
